Now, I'll introduce what is dropship?
Drop-Shipping - This for example is when you buy off a supplier, and instead of the supplier shipping you the products to put in your warehouse, the supplier sends the products to your customers. This is what most people do, and it is very popular. It benefits you because you can do this in your house, and each item dropshipped is sold(paid for by customer) leaving you cash to pay for the item + profit + shipping. It is very simple. I would recommend this to anyone because you really can't go wrong with this if you have a supplier that is legit, has been in busy for a long time, and has done dropshipping before. Most suppliers even put your logo or any type of information you want on it so they don't know you drop ship. Some may ask, Why do suppliers do this? My answer would be that suppliers do this because of two reasons. One reason would be that some suppliers if they are going directly from the manufacturer have to move so much products a month. Having extra help from different locations helps them move products more easily (there original customers + your customers = two locations). Secondly, Moving from different locations = more profit for them. They can't get everyone in the world to buy from them, so if they come from different locations (the customers) then it will expand to help the supplier as well. Also, if the supplier makes the product(makes some of the products rather than buying from manufacturer) that also gives them more advertisement. People will see there name on more than one store/website and they will see the popularity in it.

I would recommend this to anyone because you really can't go wrong with this if you have a supplier that is legit, has been in busy for a long time, and has done dropshipping before.
 Yes, you can go VERY wrong. You can lose time, lose energy, and LOSE MONEY. Just because you only buy a product after it sells (using drop shipping) doesn't mean you are not at financial risk. Listing ebay auctions, starting/promoting websites, posting print or other offline ads, ALL COST MONEY. And, with drop shipping, it is going to be very hard to compete. Now, I promote an anti-dropshipping website (http://www.dropshippingsucks.com) so it is easy to believe that I have a bias, especially when I make this next statement: ALMOST EVERYONE WHO PROMOTES DROP SHIPPING AS A GOOD WAY TO MAKE MONEY HAS SOMETHING TO SELL YOU Now again, you can assert that I am selling something and therfore my anti-dropshipping bias is based on that fact. However, if you do a simple search on the web (or www.ripoffreport.com) you will see that the people who DO NOT have something to sell you drop shipping wise ALL seem to say it is no good. So, go ahead and try drop shipping if you're curious. But DO NOT spend your last cash or go into debit on dreams of making quick and easy money on eBay with drop shipping. Do NOT believe it is easy. Making money with drop shipping is VERY difficult. It will take tons of research, lots of (EXPENSIVE) trial-and-error, and you will need to become established BEFORE any good companies will drop ship their products for you. If you are simply hoping to use a drop shipping company you found on the web, ask yourself this -- can anyone just visit this drop shipper and order for themselves? If the answer is yes then it is going to be nearly impossible to compete. Good luck -- and remember, NEVER invest more than you can afford to lose.

Regarding dropshipping.

It is a valid business model that has been used for years.
When you say it does not work you are mainly referring to Ebay.
And even there it DOES work. But not with the dropship membership programs that are being advertised all over the place. There are other ways to dropship. Ask and you shall receive :)

But dropshipping should be used as an addon to other products you sell, not as a complete solution UNLESS your site is ranking on page 1 of Google :)

I would not pay for a dropship membership for the purpose of selling on Ebay or anything else for that matter. That is just my personal opinion. A real wholesaler will NOT ask you to pay some memership fee to sell his products!

Real wholesalers are in the business of selling products not selling memberships.

I have been drop shipping for years and have made good money from it. Yes, you have to be careful you don't get ripped off, but that's a given in starting any business not just drop shipping.

As for paying for a drop shipping membership, there are drop shippers out there that do not charge you any fees to begin working with them, these are the "real" ones & the ones that you want to do business with.

Finding a creditable wholesale source doesent have to be a big problem, there are plenty of creditable ones out there. A great place to start looking is World Wide Brands. They will give you a list of creditable wholesale sources. It cost $299 but it is money well spent.

I have had over 500 people from several forums, including this one, join the membership site I promote. There are literally tens of thousands of dropshippers and wholesalers worldwide included with contact information on them all.

Having had that many people join I have had a few complain about dead links, not many but a few, but never the first person has come back to me either by email, PM's or posting on a forum about finding any scammers. Not the first person. Can't say that about all of those supposed directories.
