Well, thx for visiting this thread. I'm new to this forum and would like to provide you with some of the most valuable informations you need to know before making any bulk purchase online as a contribution to the community. Getting Started... You need to know WHAT to sell and have ready cash to purchase goods. If you want to drop ship pls skip this thread and visit the dropshipping section. So you know what to sell and have cash for it? you're ready to for the next step which is also the HARDEST step... Finding a Supplier... *Important MUST READ* To make good profit, seeking a supplier located in China is the way to go. How aobut you do it? buy an air ticket and fly over to China OR start visiting trading portals consisting of suppliers from China? If you wish to contact suppliers online. You need to understand that 95% of the suppliers on trading portals like alibaba, dhgate, made-in-china are Agent/Brokers and sadly, they are the only choice available for you. Unless, you're ready to place really LARGE bulk orders.. factory manufacturers will not entertain you. It is common for brokers to RENT virtual office address from certain industry factory and they get benefits like using recorded demo touring videos of the factory to convince buyer like you that they're manufacturers. Like I said, it is a common practice and all brokers do that, so it is not neccessary to think that they are out to scam. Lets continue with your conquest for glory! for example you wish to sell something hot like the "China iPhone Clone", nothing can be hotter than iphone atm. If you have some basic understanding on trading... naturally, you would do a search on the portals and CHERRY PICK a list of China suppliers than fire emails to them requesting for Price Quotes. Well...you need to compare those quotes very carefully It is common sense to slash out those dealers offering Outrageous low quotes... than you should continue to be a detective and do some research on that company. How to know if a certain supplier is a scammer and how to avoid it?? The most basic way is to google and yahoo the supplier company name.. if the company name is "Tong Xin Mobiles" than you search like "tong xin mobiles scam" etc you get the idea.. and view the results on the SE. Ok, if you see 1 or 2 scam post only.. do not completely rule out that the company is a scam.. Well you know.. the business field is SELFISH, some people will make a post or 2 .. to prevent people from buying from the Supplier they are using. But IF .. you see a LIST of them... than you definitely want to steer away from that company. That is for the how to know part. As for "How to Prevent being Scam" Many so call Gurus will give you tons of advice like, you do a /whois on their domain, check for their email response quality, response time, payment method blah blah blah ... all the big talks.. But I can firmly tell you that.. those methods only scratch the Surface for unveiling if the supplier is a scam. There is NO way to determine if the company is a scam artist or not just by doing those. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To be continued... How to Confirm if that particular supplier is a scam? Sending payment to suppliers, which payment to use? Shipping Issues ------------------------------------------------------------------------ First of all, I'm new to this forum.. and I'm not sure how many people will actually be reading this thread, so I'm not gonna waste afew more hours of my time writing something that nobody will actually want or will be seeing it. If you feel that what I've written is somewhat useful or you're interested in knowing more. Just reply and do some holler on this thread, I will continue the next part if somebody is interested in reading.
