We treat our vendors just like we do our customers to develop a good working relationship. We are the marketing arm for our vendors so we have to build a good solid relationship to be able to keep the product line they offer. By doing this our vendors have been very excited about doing things for us. Such as, when we offer a product training the vendors are more than happy to support us, since we are supporting them, In addition, they support and protect us and send us leads. We will be promoting our products at the ILS show in Las Vegas this week and several vendors that we have developed strong relationships with are donating sample products for door prizes. I think we are all in sales here and just put the shoe on the other foot. Don't you want to deal with customers that are easy to deal with, Don't you go out of your way to help your customer that is friendly? One of our vendors that we have developed a good relationship with on a business and personal level, had their art department design an ad for us at NO CHARGE!!... We always try to work with our vendors to develop a friendship, so when we need something we usually get it. All you have to do is ask and be a low maintenance customer. WE are now doing something different with our vendors and offering Plaques - "Supplier of Excellence" Awards this shows the vendor you appreciate the extra effort they have provided you with to help grow your business. Remember - Business goes where it is deserved and stays where it is appreciated. Remember our vendors are humans just like we are and don't we all go that extra mile when we get a pat on the back? Now, sometimes you do get a vendor that is difficult to deal with, but lets keep this thread positive Good Luck and Happy Selling Barry Lee VP of Sales Adult Wholesale Distributors http://www.adultwholesaledistributors.com
