i was wonding if anyone new anything about world wide brands. They are a reliable source of suppliers. The only drawback is they have been around so long and have so many thousands of members that there are now many of the members all trying to sell the same goods all over eBay and the net. I liken it to too many straws in the milkshake. also is it true a real wholesaler will ask for a tax id. Not entirely. That is not a "switch" to tell you Asks = real wholesaler, Doesn't Ask = Phony Wholesaler. It's just not that kind of situation, you can make no real judgement either way. Among other things, there are three states with no sales taxes, so they don't have "tax numbers."

What asking for a tax number can tell you is that they probably won't sell to your customers. But again, there are no rules or guarantees. It's just not a good way to judge possible suppliers. Now, there are a couple of way less expensive alternatives to WWB. I'm going to give you a link to where they are all discussed. There is an "under $ 10" membership site with thousands of dropshippers and wholesale sources worldwide. There is also an "under $ 30" package similar to WWB where they actually visit the wholesalers at trade shows and verify they are genuine.
