How to determine a legitimate business? Reply

I am new to marketing on the internet. I have a consumer liquidation business where we purchase overstocked merchandise and discontinued items from companies and individual business owners. I have had a number of people go to my web site and submit their merchandise. I see it and it is immediately sent to my corporate office where they workout a deal with the business owner or person in charge of the merchandise.

My question to you is, how does one determine whether the company is selling goods that are not stolen? In my case, there are several required fields that must be entered in order to be considered, such as, company name and phone number, address, as well as specific information pertaining to the products, but what is your opinion?

Yours in Success,
Lawren
